Our comfortable restaurant is a recent addition to the original pub and has been designed to make you feel totally relaxed. Sumptuously furnished with thick carpets and heavy, polished wood furniture, the conservatory style oak dining room is the perfect place for a celebration or an intimate lunch or supper. With a maximum seating capacity of just 30 you can be sure of efficient and attentive service.

In summer time the "Garden Room" benefits from the natural warmth of the sun, while at cooler times the under-floor heating ensures a nice, cosy feel. The view is of pretty flowers, plants, hedges & shrubs.

Please peruse our menus here but you may also find the freshest fish, local game, lamb and pork featured on our specials chalk board in the bar. Our English sirloin of beef steaks are individually carved to order and our excellent local sausages are made to order just a short distance away in Hempton Village.

The chef at the Red Lion at Steeple Aston, Sarah Phipps, has a wealth of experience of quality pub cooking notably at the Angel Inn at Highgate, North London and later at the Star Inn at Woodstock, Oxfordshire where Sarah and her husband Melvin have enjoyed the best part of the last 23 years before moving to the Red Lion at Steeple Aston in February 2006.
